Well – it wasn’t the trip to San Francisco I’d wanted – but just like some festivals, we might not get what we want, but we get what we need. This afternoon was naps and writing – it apparently takes a full week to let go and really let the writing creativity open up. I want to work on being able to have that without flying 1/2 way around the world.
There’s so much to write about this trip – personal revelations, cultural differences, details of geography. Just lots. The big take-away is obvious though – there is something to be learned in every moment. Also, it takes more than just labels, slogans, or intentions to form communities and societies. We can maintain our selves and still be part of so much more. Lastly, in our internal monologues, there’s a big emotional difference between fear and caution.
Time for six hours sleep, then one more flight for this adventure. First – garlic shrimp Caesar salad with the same dessert sampler as yesterday 🙂
