Homeward Bound

The last leg, switching airlines & airline groups and taking American for this hop. United & Asiana are both Star Alliance members – but I didn’t have enough miles to get all the way home. Fortunately, I had enough lingering USAir & American miles

The gate into Chinatown
A Hawaiian BBQ place to try next time
The line for economy check-in
The priority check in line. It’s not just about the in-flight experience.
A parting view of my now second favorite city.
American’s breakfast – scrambled eggs Benedict, yogurt, fruit, and coffee.
This is fun – three of the flights on this trip in the air at the same time. The top is Asiana 212 from Seoul to San Francisco, the bottom is United 839 from Los Angeles to Sydney, and the one on the right is where I am now – American 700 from San Francisco to Philadelphia.
American wins for seat comfort, despite the airframe being 26 years old. Also, no seat-back entertainment, rather common cabin screens.
